A Vision Plan for Better Public Transit in Evanston

This report was written to help advocate for improved transit service in Evanston, Illinois. It looks at current conditions to establish that current transit service is inadequate considering the dense built environment and demographic characteristics of the city, and follows up by providing data-driven suggestions to improve transit service quality for residents. The recommendation for Sunday service on CTA route 93 has since been implemented and other suggestions are under consideration pending funding availability.

Vision Zero Safe Systems into their strategic and service planning to formulate a set of
recommendations for LYNX to apply to their own planning practices. Elements of stop
safety and potential countermeasures for safety hazards are compiled from sources
